Grinding

Grinding generates a more homogeneous Yankee Cylinder surface, removing imperfections that may arise in the course of time.

Additionally, it prevents the progression of these defects resulting from doctor incidence.

We render grinding services for Cast Iron and Steel Yankee Cylinders, either metallized or not.

Metallization

Metallization – cylinder surface homogeneous hardfacing results in very significant advantages.

In Cast Iron cylinders, it attenuates surface defects and/or heat-transfer defects, and in cases of cylinders which already reached the minimum wall thickness, the metallization process increases durability and decelerates it’s wear.

In Steel cylinders, it increases surface hardness and, as a consequence, extends cylinder lifespam.
