15% increase in drying capacity
The Mexican company GreenPaper invests in the upgrade of the #1 Paper Machine and Hergen took part in the project by replacing 10 of the 33 old Cast Iron Drying Cylinders which worked with a steam pressure of 2.5 bar by modern Steel Drying Cylinders which will work at 9.5 bar, providing an increase in evaporation rate of approximately 15% on pre-drying.
Hergen was not only limited its scope to the drying cylinders but also performed an evaluation on the existing steam and condensate system, offering the complete solution with the steam and condensate system upgrade for a better energy utilization and increasing operational safety.
