PAPIRUS, a well know manufacturer of paperboard for packaging and graphic applications, has just installed a new secondary Headbox on its PM#1, a machine equipped with a three Fourdinier.
The customer’s targets with the installation of the new Headbox - supplied by HERGEN - are to improve the produced paper quality and enable an increase in machine speed/production.

Design speed: up to 1,000 m/min.
Paper Grades: Paperboard. Layer: Filler
Basis Weight Range: 180 to 375 g/m²
Manifold feeding and Side Pulse Attenuator
Automatic basis weight CM profile control, by QCS reading (existing system)
Along with the Headbox, HERGEN has also supplied Approach Flow parts, such as deaeration flume with a complete white water silo and the piping from the Fan Pump to the Headbox.
