Specialized services

We offer services in built-in or screwed journals for virtually every type of paper machine roll.

Metallization service

A journal featuring slight damages (of up to 1.5 mm radius) may have its surface recovered through the metallization process.

This process may be executed in rolling bearing seats as well. Thus, the bearing centerline remains unaltered and the rolling bearing puller channel is recovered.

Journal replacement

Built-in journals

In covered rolls, this process is made by freezing the new journal in order to preserve the cover.

In case of non-covered rolls, the process is faster and at lower cost, since the journal is hot-stamped.

Screwed journals

Replacement is foreseen for screwed journals. The entire design is recalculated in order to properly diagnose the rupture cause and design a new journal, to be made of superior strength material.
