Following the success of the first stage, HERGEN is moving forward with the modernization project for Iberkraft's PM#1 in Quedas do Iguaçu (state of Parana - Brazil), taking the machine to a new level of efficiency, quality, and sustainability.

Driven by the results achieved since the start-up of stage #1, Iberkraft moved on to the second stage of the project, which is currently underway. This step focuses on adding even more value to the produced paper, through the installation of a new Size Press, which will expand the possibilities for finishing and surface resistance of the paper. The system will provide better performance in the application of additives, significant gains in printability, and diversification of applications, resulting in paper with greater resistance, better performance, and greater commercial appeal.

Complementing this step, HERGEN will supply a post-drying system equipped with Smart Steel Dryers, developed to deliver the best heat transfer rates and lowest energy consumption on the market. Manufactured in carbon steel and produced under strict quality standards and HERGEN's exclusive machining, they guarantee high reliability and operational safety.

Currently in the planning stage, the third step of the project will be decisive in ensuring the full performance of PM#1. The scope includes replacing the pre-drying section and installing a new finishing section, with new reel and rewinder designed for maximum efficiency and process stability. More than a technical upgrade, this stage represents the consolidation of a cycle of continuous modernization, aligned with Iberkraft's long-term vision of remaining at the forefront of an increasingly competitive and sustainable sector.
The modernization of PM#1 goes beyond the supply of equipment. With the ECOPerformance program, HERGEN delivers high-performance solutions that make the paper industry more efficient, economical, and sustainable, enabling MP1 to operate with different fiber compositions, from virgin pulp to waste paper, with high stability and sheet quality. A transformation that converts technology into concrete results and drives the entire production chain.

More than just a technology supplier, HERGEN has established itself as a strategic partner of Iberkraft in a project that reflects trust, cooperation, and a vision for the future.
The synergy between the technical teams of the two companies has been fundamental for the execution of the stages within the deadlines and with results above what was planned.
This ongoing collaboration reinforces the mutual commitment to promote efficiency, innovation, and sustainability as pillars of the development of the Brazilian paper industry.
