Continuing its expansion project, which began with the installation of HERGEN's Smart Crescent Former, FEX, a renowned tissue paper manufacturer from Santo Amaro da Purificação (State of Bahia - Brazil), is reinforcing its successful partnership with HERGEN, a benchmark in high-performance and sustainable technological solutions, by implementing the second step of its PM1 upgrade.
In this stage, FEX has invested in a new 12’ Smart Yankee Dryer with Ribbed internal surface, which provides greater drying capacity and improves the machine's temperature profile, resulting in a direct increase in production and paper quality, meeting market demands with excellence.
The innovation doesn't stop there: a new Steam & Condensate System, equipped with an automatic Thermocompressor, was integrated into the project. This solution delivered by HERGEN not only reduces specific steam consumption, but also automates the operation, optimizing efficiency and promoting more sustainable production, in line with the sector's environmental and competitiveness requirements.
