HERGEN raises quality standards with SMART FLOW Precision Headbox in an international Project

HERGEN was present at MIAC 2025, held from October 8 to 10 in Lucca, Italy, one of the main global gatherings of the paper industry. The event brought together professionals, customers, and partners from around the world to discuss trends, present innovations, and share solutions that are shaping the future of the sector.
During the three days exhibition, HERGEN presented its portfolio of high-performance equipment, highlighting the ECOPerformance program, which reflects the company's commitment to efficiency and sustainability in the supply of paper machines and equipment. ECOPerformance solutions were developed to optimize energy, water, and fiber consumption, reducing operating costs and CO₂ emissions without compromising quality and productivity.
Highlights
The applicability of the technologies covers both tissue machines and packaging paper machines, meeting the different demands of the global market. Among the main highlights presented were the SMART YANKEE DRYER and SMART STEEL DRYERS, high thermal transfer drying cylinders recognized for their high energy efficiency and perfect drying uniformity. These technologies promote significant reductions in steam consumption and contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, such as CO₂ and NOx.
Another highlight was the new SMART FLOW Precision Headbox, which incorporates precise dilution and profile adjustment controls, ensuring greater formation uniformity and operational efficiency across the entire production line.
These solutions stood out not only for their relevance from a sustainability perspective, but also for their integration into recent international supply projects, including projects in Europe and with major paper producers in Latin America. Just a spoiler of what's to come!
