The 2023 edition of LatamPaper was very special for HERGEN
The Latampaper Achievement Award honored Mr. Germano Purnhagen and Mr. Emilio Purnhagen, the latter being the CEO of HERGEN, due to their valuable contributions to the paper industry.
This award recognizes personalities who play a fundamental role in promoting the sector's sustainability and productivity, highlighting professionals whose trajectories can serve as examples of dedication, perseverance, and remarkable achievements.

Technical Conference
HERGEN also participated in the Technical Conference, with two lectures.
The Eng. Fernando Wildemann gave a lecture entitled "SMART SIZER: Film Press Concept for Superficial Application in Packaging Papers", in which he discussed the advantages of the SMART SIZER system for starch application.
The concept developed by HERGEN over the years has shown remarkable results, providing a significant increase in the strength of the paper sheet, while promoting energy savings.
The Eng. Marcelo Santos addressed the theme "Engineering Solutions for the Economical Production of Tissue Paper" during his presentation.
Innovative engineering concepts for Approach Flow, Headbox and Drying Section were presented, which result in significant cost reductions and improve results in tissue paper production.
Exhibition
The Latampaper Exhibition is the place where the latest technological advances are presented and it is also where paper, cardboard and tissue manufacturers from Latin America gathered.
HERGEN was present once again, presenting its products and services. Particularly noteworthy was the SMART SHOE Press, which was launched at the end of last year.
This was an excellent opportunity to establish and strengthen contacts with customers, suppliers, and other industry partners.
