HERGEN is supplying a new EVO 18 Hybrid Tissue Machine to POL-MAK, a company located in the city of Iława, Poland, and one of the largest manufacturers of printed decorative napkins in Europe.

POL-MAK, Iława, Poland
This is the second tissue machine supplied by HERGEN to POL-MAK, reaffirming the mutual trust and strong relationship between the two companies. The first machine (MP1), in operation since 2018, will remain dedicated to the production of low-basis-weight bathroom tissue, double- and triple-ply products, as well as napkins and other sanitary papers for local converting operations.

MP1 supplied by HERGEN in 2018
MP2 will produce papers in the 15–25 g/m² range, optimized for napkins—a segment that demands high standards in formation, strength, and absorption.
The scope also includes a dedicated line for producing specialty papers, expanding POL-MAK’s portfolio with high-value, differentiated products.

Aligned with the ECOPerformance program, the new machine represents the convergence of performance and sustainability: more paper with lower resource consumption. This project reinforces HERGEN’s ability to convert energy and water efficiency into both competitive and environmental advantage.

• Design speed: 2,000 m/min
• Operating speed: 2,000 m/min
• Yankee Cylinder diameter: 5,486 mm (18’)
• Sheet width at Reeler: 2,920 mm
• Production: 120 t/day @ 18 g/m² @ 100% efficiency
MP2 will feature two presses equipped with a hydraulic loading system, ensuring efficient water removal and operational stability—resulting in lower energy consumption and improved paper quality.
The cantilever felt-changing system further enhances the machine configuration, enabling fast, safe replacements with significantly reduced downtime, increasing the machine’s runnability.
HERGEN is proud to deliver another complete tissue machine to POL-MAK, a company recognized for the high quality of its products in the demanding European market.
