“An analysis of the current scenario and the investment prospects in the tissue paper market” was the theme of the Tissue Online Panel, promoted by the Tissue Online portal on July 31.
William Santos, General Manager of HERGEN, was one of the invited guests, along with Dineo Silvério (Perini) and Abílio Franco (Contech).
The participants analyzed the impact of the pandemic on the paper market and their expectations for the second half of this year and coming years.
William explained that after the initial impact caused by market uncertainties, the scenario is already showing signs of improvement. “We are disembarking from an instrument flight and starting to see the horizon.”
Despite the current difficulties, he believes that “Brazil deserves to be on a path of growth”.
He spoke about the important role played by companies in the industry, emphasizing that “we are responsible for standardizing tissue quality in the Brazilian market”.
His outlook on the current and future scenario is positive. He believes that important lessons are being learned. “We are learning to be careful with life... with health... to respect others... to understand our employees... we’ve learned that we have to do “something more”, William pondered.
