Another major milestone in FILAR’s history
On August 8, FILAR Fijałkowscy Sp., a company located in Sadlno, in the Gmina Wierzbinek region in Poland, started using its first tissue machine for high quality papers.
The machine is part of the company’s largest investment in the sanitary paper business. A brand-new factory was built. In addition to the machine, the facilities also have a logistics center.
This bold project takes FILAR to a new level in the tissue paper market.
Successful launch amid the pandemic
The start-up was highly successful. The machine produced marketable paper already with the first spools. The success of the launch was even more remarkable because it occurred amid the challenges generated by the coronavirus pandemic.
Taking the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of all those involved, FILAR once again showed its capacity to overcome challenges and managed to successfully fulfill this great venture.
HERGEN/PAPCO
HERGEN also had to adapt to the new circumstances and, in view of the current staff commute restriction, made its first remote launch.
The performance of the local HERGEN representative, Mr. Tomasz Helfojer, from PAPCO, who acted as the HERGEN/FILAR intermediary during the entire process, was extremely important.
A multidisciplinary team of technicians was assembled, which, supported by the HERGEN team in Brazil, gave all the necessary assistance to the customer, making it possible for a smooth startup with great results.
Discover the machine
The machine - supplied by HERGEN - is the EVO 12 model, with the HCF 1225 Crescent Former, a Suction Press with a diameter of 1,050 mm and a 3,660 mm Yankee Cylinder made of steel.
Designed to work at 1700 m/min, the machine will product 70 t/d of two-ply paper (15 g/m2) and up to 100 t/d of other types of paper.
The project has two lines of pulp (hardwood and softwood), which allows for working with products that present excellent softness and resistance characteristics.
