Penha PM1
Coronel Vivida, PR, Brazil
The PM1 Reel will be equipped with an Automatic Reel Spools Feeder.
The main objective is increasing the machine operators’ safety since it will no longer be necessary to do the process manually.
Another benefit of the installation is the availability of Reel Spools to go into operation at any time, without the need for the crane and the time involved in the operation.
To meet the largest diameter of the coils (2,200 mm) a new Unwinder shall be installed in the Rewinder. Side guards, which prevent operators from approaching, are included in the supply, increasing safety.
The coil squaring shall be done remotely by means of an electric gearmotor, preventing the operator from having to enter the machine area to make the adjustment.
At the end of each coil, the empty Reel Spool is ejected and rolls on rails, releasing the unwinding cradle. Thus, feeding the new coil and removing the empty Reel Spool can be done in a single operation with the overhead crane.
Hergen thanks Penha for once again trusting its solutions and congratulates the company for the care with the employees’ safety.
